I put in job order for a pressure wash of the pavers of my driveway, walkway from driveway to my front door, & patio via an online home improvement website on 20 Jan 2022. In my phone call, a representative (perhaps the owner DeAndre) called me the same day late in the afternoon to schedule an appointment for the following day. On that phone call that person confirmed that a PRESSURE washing service for $200 and scheduled service between 11:00 am - 1:00 pm on 21 Jan. A 2-man team arrived & "completed" the work between the scheduled time. I told them to wash all windowsills of green mold growing at the bottom as well (their equipment would already be deployed in the vicinity of all 4 windows). I asked for terms of payment as they were on the walkway and they said cash (I cannot recall if they said check as well, but cc not accepted). I also stated that I confirmed a pressure washing job and that was not happening; they were spraying some liquid (which was at least part chlorine as it could be smelled VERY strongly). They said that they do not pressure wash as they are a "soft wash company". They then stated that the payment was $300 when I asked. I stated that I thought $200 that I was quoted on the phone was very high. They stated that "the job is bigger than they thought". I negotiated the price and could not get them below $250. I was already very irritated that the pressure wash confirmation was bait & switch, and their response to that was that they would come back for free if anything grew back in the treated areas for 2 years. That sounded acceptable if true because weeds & paver maintenance is frequent, requiring typically more than 3 interventions annually. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. There were paver weeds in less than 2 months. Called ******* to get guarantee service & was told company out of business. But he could refer me to another business to get a discount rate. I told him that I would never accept a referral from him, and that I believe that telling people or actually opening & closing companies is a scam that he's running and that I believe he does this routinely.
