About 40 years ago, Mahat diagnosed me as having Meniere's Disease-said that the "curve" of a hearing test was perfectly aligned with characteristics of Meniere's. And now, after 40 years of tinnitus, dizziness, and hearing loss, I learned this week from an ENT at UVA hospital that I do not have Meniere's and that I have never had Meniere's. I am damned mad about taking meds for decades that I haven't needed, and they have led to an acute lacunar infarct of the left basal ganglia. His arrogance and overconfidence destroyed any quality-of-life I once enjoyed a long time ago. It's been a hellish 40 years. If I could speak "Duck," I could leave a one-word descriptive.
