Unreliable contractor for both fence construction and metal building construction, as I entered into contract with this contractor for both projects. The owner (Seth) is a smooth talker with an iPad Pro at his side, and that is where the customer service ends after he has your significant deposit to “purchase materials“ that you may or may not ever see. His fence building crew has about two personnel that actually do work while the others stand around talking and littering your property with water bottles and the wrappers/containers of what ever they bought at the convenience store or fast food franchise. Quality control must be monitored by the home owner to ensure that a satisfactory job is performed, but afterward, you’ll still find multiple unfinished issues, and may result, unfortunately, as in my situation an unfinished project. Throughout this process, any contact from the business owner is limited at best and most of the communication will need to be initiated by the customer.

If you intend to build a metal building, find another contractor as he’ll just take your money and make a multitude of excuses for delays. My contract was executed in mid May 2022 for a 50x40 building that was to be completed by July 1st; it’s now the end of October 2022 with no building or building materials in sight. Seth initially suggests using subcontractors that are his good friends, (dirt work, foundation prep), and doesn’t mention what their fees are until it’s too late, requiring you to pay out significant funds that weren’t budgeted, (costs not included in the contract), for the building. If you’re lucky enough to get a foundation eventually poured, that’s when everything may come to an abrupt stop, as you’ll make the determination he’s used your money on something else. In my case, the sub contractor that poured our foundation stopped by four weeks later to inform me that Seth never paid him, (although I had already paid Seth $15.5K per our contract for the foundation), and they intended to place a Mechanics Lien on my property. The only immediate resolution was to pay the sub contractor directly $15K to stop the action. Don’t bother trying to make any demands from him as he’s a seasoned storyteller and will make promises that he’ll never keep, or another excuse for a delay. I’m a retired disabled veteran out $48.5K from this contractor for materials that were never purchased and having to pay twice for a foundation that has no building. This situation has been very distressing to say the least with no positive foreseeable outlook, because of this contractor.
