First off, this might be the dirtiest salon I've ever seen. Dust has formed barnacles over the ceiling fixtures, it's quite disgusting. There's boxes of product and other devices strewn all over the salon. I had the unfortunate experience of having 2 gray blending sessions with Alicia. She told me she had trained under Jack Martin, a stylist famous for his amazing gray blending techniques. I had to sign a waiver stating I accept that my hair is going to be spotty, color will bleed, and that it might not look how I want. That was the first red flag and I should've left immediately. She said she had to make the color "extremely smoky" in order to do the gray blending because "that's just how you do it". That was the second red flag. Asking out someone's hair to the extreme is just a cover for terrible work. She also stated that she was using a silver dye, not toner, so it would stay and not fade out, but she lied about that too. When I saw my hair in the mirror after the first session I wasn't happy, and once I got out of the dim, dingy lighting of the salon, I noticed all of my color was spotty. It also washed out in 1 wash, completely gone. I went back for a second session thinking surely its going to get better. During my session I was on Instagram and noticed Alicia had posted a photo to their Instagram with Jack Martin the colorist, saying how she was so excited to meet such a talented person in the industry FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER. SHE LIED ABOUT HER TRAINING Y'ALL. The second session was worse than the first. She colored and bleached over a lot of my outgrowth, defeating the purpose of helping someone transition to gray. She left massive blocks of bleach up front that was not blended at all, nor was it matched up to my grey pattern. When I got in daylight I saw just how terrible it was and wanted to cry. The haircut she gave me was longer in the back than the front, I looked absolutely terrible with skunky black and blonde streaks and a butcher job fir a haircut. I wasted about $1500 with Alicia only to have to spend roughly the same to have an actual professional fix what she did. That stylist said her license should be revoked for the work she's done. Don't waste your time here folks, this lady doesn't know what she's doing, nor does she know how to treat her staff. On my first visit, she was berating her assistant for every single thing she did. The woman was a minority and seemed scared of Alicia, which I would have been too if someone was verbally assaulting me on a daily basis. The girl quit by my second appointment (good for her!). There was a new white assistant by the 2nd appointment. Alicia gushed about how much better this one was. The girl out the dryer on my head crooked so the bleach processed unevenly and was clearly afraid to touch people's hair. Her hair washing (if you want to call it that, she basically swiped a flat, open palm hand down the length of my hair and said, ok done! I had so much color left in my hair and around the back of my neck. Stay away from this disgusting dump and save your hard earned money, there are far better salons in the valley that don't treat people like dirt.
