Reviews of The Sodzilla in Pinellas Park

I am very disappointed with Albert and his company. He came out to “sell” this job, ensuring that his work and product were “guaranteed for life” and if there were ever any problems, he would come back out and take care of it for free with leftovers from other jobs. A very promising sales pitch!
After the install, I had (at Albert’s request) a fertilizer company out to begin treatment and also had a sprinkler guy come out and make sure there was proper coverage (he confirmed there was). Fast forward two months and there are two areas running the length of my house on the sides that are dead.
I asked Albert to come out and after looking at it, he promised to honor his guarantee, and said he would be by within the next few days with leftovers from another job to make it right. The next day he called and asked if I would schedule the fertilizer company to come out and see if there were any underlying issues causing the areas to die before replacing the areas.
The fertilizer company came out and said there was nothing they could see going on, however when they came out months prior right after the install, they noticed those two areas suffering from heat stress, but didn’t say anything, hoping it would take.
I contacted Sodzilla after that meeting to advise them nothing was found and to schedule the replacement of the damaged areas. It was then that I was told that I would be charged $600 as they were two large areas. They then tried to blame me, saying the sprinklers were not set right, even though the guy they recommended to check them said they were fine.
I will say that the rest of my yard is great, but I would warn any potential customer that this person and company will say anything to get your business, then not honor their “guarantee” when push comes to shove if it is costly. I intentionally gave my business to a “mom and pop” company, trying to support local businesses during these difficult times, however I now regret my decision. Buyer beware…….
