This company was first started in Milford by my cousin Charlie ,my uncle Henry and Freddie Heller.My cousin Charlie got started from his cousin in Brooklyn Ny,in Bedford Sty,way back when Charlie got out of the service.Cousin Heller had his business going for yrs and encouraged Charlie to go to Conn. and open a shop there and eventually started making the ice cream there.They specialized in portion control and all had a 16 % butterfat content and was sold to finer rest. CC,s etc.During the holidays they would make special flavors ,like Pumpkin and Watermelon Sherbert for the summer.For weddings, they made special molds like bride& grooms, bells etc.All in all it took off like a rocket cause no one else had what they had and their spumoni and bisque tortoni couldnt be topped.Bucks La Favorita Ice Cream is the best there is by far.
