I took my 8 year old stetson hat there to be cleaned and get the sweat band replaced. While asking the for the woman's professional opinion if the silk liner also needed to be replaced I got vague answers that were of little help on the matter. After deciding that the silk liner did not need to be replaced I was told that the whole process would take 2 weeks total. After having not heard a word from them for 4 weeks from the time I had dropped off the hat I gave them a call asking for any updates (it was near the holidays, so I wasn't surprised by a little delay). When I was called back I was told that my hat was finished and that I needed to come in for the final reshaping of the hat. Upon ariving at the store (close to their closing time) I was presented with a hat that left me in shock, a hat that I was convinced wasn't mine at all. The felt on the hat looked fuzzy, the size was far to large for my head (I have a large head) the matterial was soft and pliable, and the smell of chemicals on the hat was overwhelming. Then there was the shape of the hat, nothing at all like it had been (originally starting off life as a Stetson Gun Club Pawnee) the brim had what I can only describe as bubbles in the that looked like it had come from carless handling while being shaped, the top of the hat looking like a bowl shape to put my head into. After repeated attempts to reshape it as close as possible to what it had been I was so let down by the entire experience that I just said the hat was good enough that I paid and left. After leaving and inspecting closer I noticed that the silk liner that was originally supposed to be kept, had been replaced along with the original stetson hat band, I do not think that I even recieved the same hat back as every piece has the companies logo on it, and does not fit at all. I would strongly discourage anyone from taking their hats there for any reason. An all around terrible experience to have been through with a hat that I am, or rather was, very sentamentally attached to.
