Reviews of Hair & Nail Casino in La Habra

I was a client of Pam Fields (License #42205), owner of the Hair & Nail Casino Salon in La Habra CA for almost 2 years.
On July 31, 2021 I had an appointment for a perm. What I got was a very bad chemical burn on the back of my neck. Pam never mentioned this to me and there is no way she could’ve NOT seen this as she is working from the back of my head the entire time and my hair is short enough to see it.
Pam was very “sloppy” in her application of the perm solutions resulting in my neck, back and clothing were constantly wet, that is why I didn’t feel the burning sensation until all started to dry.
I texted her, with a picture of the awful burn, asking her what she can do to make this situation “right”. No reply.
A couple days later I send another text, this time with a copy of a receipt for bandages I had to purchase as my burn wound was oozing. I also asked for a full refund. No reply.
What stylist, especially a salon owner for over 20 years, chooses to intentionally ignore a serious issue that they caused, and doesn’t care about the client’s wellbeing or care to make the situation right? The answer is a very bad one. An apology and/or acknowledgement can go a long way. I didn’t get either.
Pam Fields is more concerned about keeping my $70.00 rather than doing the right thing. See you in Small Claims Court. I have all my proof, photos and medical forms ready.
I wound up going to Urgent Care. Several days later the burn is still tender and hurts.
A formal complaint has been filed with the Board of Cosmetology and I will post reviews everywhere.
Word of mouth is crucial to any business. Keeping happy clients is also crucial. You just lost a client and the public will know about this incident, as I intend to post reviews on every complaint forum available.
DO NOT USE THIS SALON OR YOU WILL WIND UP WITH A CARELESS STLYIST AND A CHEMICAL BURN TOO !!!!
