Reviews of Baxter Community Center - Wholistic Health Clinic in Grand Rapids

The prices are very reasonable for those without insurance. Although "wholistic" is in the title, nothing seems to be holistic. I trust the Doctors, but not the office staff. When you walk in the staff seems nice, but not after you need something. The "nurse" does not seem to know much about medicine or health practices. It is a painful experience when the nurse takes your blood pressure or needs blood samples. If you want or need a receipt or any sort of documentation, ask for it now and don't leave until you have it. Otherwise they will forget. I asked for a receipt which they said they would email. After 3 business days of nothing, I emailed them and it took another 3 business days. I had to remind them after the second visit as well. Then I needed more documentation and they said they would email by the end of the day, which didn't happen. I called the next day, they said they would send it that day which didn't happen. I called the next day and complained and they were very rude to me, interrupting me and telling me to be patient. If it's going to take long, just let me know, but don't tell me it's going to be today and not do it. When I finally received documentation, it wasn't formal. The email was a quick statement from the staff.

I would only recommend this clinic to those who do not have insurance, can trust an inexperienced or uneducated nurse, and are willing to deal with rude staff.
