Talked for 2 days w/ David (the owner) regarding a truck. Asked if wrecked: said "No". He had the carfax but did not divulge an accident. Asked -any issues with body: said "No. It is Excellent condition". We neg. price on phone to purchase based on pics & what he said. Drove 2hrs w/cash to purchase-Got there - truck had Orkin Pest Emblems peeled off hood (conveniently not in pic). Carfax clearly states rear end collision. Obviously we were disappointed-my husband said "Oh, so it's been in a wreck?" looking at carfax. David very loudly "Well, I've bent over backwards for you 2, so you can just take it or leave it!". Hubby says "Ok, I'll leave it. Oh, and thanks for telling us about the hood emblems being removed and the paint being screwed up!" David "Get off my lot!" & storms inside. I follow and @ door ask calmly if I could just talk to him. David:"No, Leave Or I'll Call the Cops!" Unprofessional - you could even say childish. Ironically, I still had interest in discussing a sale, since we had cash and drove two hours. Believe it or not, my husband didn't even hint that we wanted to buy for less $. Before arriving I had high hopes - because he was nothing but helpful and polite on phone. But, what good is that if someone flat out lies about the condition of a vehicle? Husband & I ran a retail storefront business for 14 years and never treated customers this way. Save yourself some heartache/time and go somewhere they act like professional adults.
