My truck had work done by Another Mobile Fleet Services the first week of December 2015. The reason the truck was taken in originally was due to bad starting in the morning. After the truck had gone through an inspection the manager called and said there were two injectors that needed to be replaced. At that time I had them to replace 6 injectors. During this conversation,the manager recommended that I replace the head. I then purchased all parts from Freightliner Dealership. The mechanic at said shop installed new head gaskets, new injectors, new combarring, and new jake brakes. I was notified that the truck was ready for pick up on December 29, 2015. At that time I went to retrieve my vehicle. I arrived at said shop late in the evening close to closing time. Prior to leaving with my truck I found that there was oil leaking from the back of the truck. At that time, I asked the mechanic about the leaking from the back of the truck and the mechanic said that the oil was leaking from the flight wheel and stated that after a re -inspection of the work that they did there at the shop he found that their work was not the result of the leaking, rather it was leaking from the flight wheel and manager stated they could not repair the flight wheel there at their shop. Hence, I paid the manager and took the truck without a road test. Shortly after I picked up my truck, specifically 4 miles later, I returned to my yard and noticed a metal noise coming from the engine and also my engine brake did not work. After an inspection of the vehicle I noticed that the oil leak had increased to approximately half a gallon per 15 minutes while the truck was running.Due to me picking up the truck close to closing hours by the time I got my truck to the yard and noticed the leak said shop was closed for the evening. However, Freightliner Dealership is opened 24 hours so I took my truck there. Based on the previous conversation with the mechanic describing that the leaking was the result of the flight wheel I told the dealer to replace the flight wheel, which was approximately 7k. However, once the flight wheel was replaced the leaking did not stop. Essentially, replacing the flight wheel did not fix the leaking. Due to the oil continuing to leak the mechanic checked the installation of the head gaskets. At that time, the mechanic discovered two problems that were causing the leak. First, the oil was leaking from the head gasket due to improper installation. Secondly, the comeshaft cup#7 was missing an O Ring allof which was due to the previous shop's installation. Furthermore, the jake brake and valves calibration was wrong so the dealer had to replace the head gaskets, comeshaft, and re-do job from the previous mechanic. As a result, I lost approximately 2 months working and over 40k in repair costs and labor.Only when the mechanic at freightliner confirmed that the reasons stated above were the culprits for the oil leak and not the flight wheel did I feel that Another Mobile Fleet Services had breach its agreement to properly repair my truck. Transporting is my sole means of income and time is money. I felt I had made a big financial mistake by taking my truck there in the beginning after only getting approximately 4 miles from the shops pick up location and experiencing yet another break down. Hence, I lost confidence in the shop's ability to properly repair my truck. .
