Reviews of Companion Animal in Fairfax Station

We paid dearly to have a vet from Companion Animal Clinic come to our house to put our beloved 20-year-old cat to sleep.

The vet arrived and put a ratty old towel on our kitchen counter, then laid our cat on it. She then proceeded to jab our poor kitty time after time, searching for a vein. It was totally heartbreaking.

We have since learned that any reputable vet will first put a catheter into the vein to avoid this unfortunately experience. If only we had known.

We will always have to live the knowledge that our four-legged family member had a terribly tortured final few minutes.

BEWARE.

They talked me into letting them anesthetize my cat and take a head x-ray. While she was under, they "cleaned' her ears. She has been deaf ever since. We paid over $700 for this "service." They have never apologized or taken responsibility, or shown any interest.

Our kitty was ataxic (no balance, no muscle coordination) for weeks; every time she shook her head, she fell over. She wouldn't eat and we almost lost her. $2500 and six months later, she is OK -- she accepts her disability more readily than we do.

Don't take your animal to these people if you care about him/her.
