If you are reading these reviews it is highly likely that you are a parent looking for the best first or best next dojo for your child. Consider all of your reasons for signing your child up for karate and then do your family a favor and look elsewhere! Are you looking for your child to be part of a martial arts family, in a dojo where they can grow and feel confident at? Are you are looking for classes consistently taught by professional senseis? Do you want your child to gain top notch martial arts skills, build confidence and strengthen their mind, body and spirit? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions please think about your investment of time and money and do your family a favor and look elsewhere. After my niece and nephew attended SKA for a few months it was upsetting to see that not only did their martial arts skills not get stronger, but that they regressed on top of it. It is quite obvious that the way that this dojo is run is chaotic. The SKA atmosphere screams of a focus solely on competition and not at all on personal growth. If their focus is on karate and skill development, they failed to demonstrate it. If they view karate lessons as more than just a dojo’s way of money making, they failed to demonstrate it. If their goal is to be a top notch dojo all around, they failed to demonstrate it. Again, do your family a favor and LOOK ELSEWHERE. There are MANY great dojos out there to choose from. Unfortunately, SKA is not one of them!
