Reviews of Arkansas State - Game & Fish Commission, Shooting Range in Conway

I have been using the range for about 17 years, and I have seen many people told to leave. The rules say NO Loaded mag pass this point. It also states no concealed carry pass this point. I have seen people who thought they could shoot put a hole in the roof. Most people can not hit anything if they shoot faster than one round per minute, other than the roof. The rules are there to keep everyone safe, if you don't want to be safe, go somewhere else. Just because you own a gun doesn't mean the world revolves around you.

I have never heard a thing positive about the range master. Maybe that is his problem. "Range Master". I know many people who have stated that that they will not return until his years of over eating and sedentaryness have caught up with him. However it is a nice range.

It's a great place to shoot. Cheap. Very reasonable. $3 to shoot pistols. Not bad at all. Don's is more expensive.

Sure they have rules. I don't mind rules. One guy today was shooting his pistol as fast as he could squeeze the trigger and the range master told him to slow it down. Do I think that guy can shoot as fast as he can safely? I don't know because there are a lot of unsafe people. Do you really need to be told not to go after your target if it blows off the bench and down range? It happens often and the range master is trying to keep everyone safe with the rules.

The guy is pretty nice if you talk to him. Not that you need to talk to him to be nice to you. Buy if you talk to him you will realize he's pretty nice. :)
