Reviews of Dairy City Supermarket in Bay Shore

Been going there my whole life. The owner is there the last 4-5 years and has a reputation as being a bit nasty. Today I was ordering about $30 worth of cold cuts and was going to buy a tomato. The tomatoes were not ripe, so I decided not to. When I walked to the deli counter, I saw they had nice looking tomato slices for the sandwiches. I asked if I could but 2-3 slice with my cold cuts. The owner stated they don't sell them like that, and I would have to buy a whole tomato. I explained they were not ripe, and he got nasty with me until eventually it turned into shouting match in the middle of the store. I have been going there since it was Super A and Associated.
I'll take my share of the blame for losing my temper and shouting but, for a couple lousy tomato slices, he lost a $30 sale and a lifelong customer
