In my experience I DO NOT recommend doing business with Tom Ezell with Ezell Investments. Tom was Unprofessional, Dishonest, Rude, Hostile and Abusive. There was a MISHANDLING OF FUNDS by Tom Ezell on my account at Fountain Terrace Apts with a SIZEABLE CREDIT. When I brought this to Tom's attention he attempted to cover it up UNSUCCESSFULLY twice. The reason I had a credit I uncovered is various agencies were helping me with rent as I was fighting cancer and its complications that Tom knew about. This was followed by legal paper's from Tom's attorney to protect TOM ONLY. I refused to sign. Tom left disturbing letter's at tenant door's. One states "You have given notice of intent to terminate your lease, offering $500 upon vacate with a 5 day deadline". PROBLEM-I never gave ANY notice period! I WAS IN AN ACTIVE LEASE. If Tom had done nothing wrong WHY WOULD ANY MANAGER PAY ANY TENANT TO MOVE WITH 6 MONTHS LEFT ON MY LEASE AND constant vacancies at the same complex?Tom's letter dated in Nov.. My lease up May the following year. When I asked Tom for proof Tom had NO PROOF. He gave me a note on my note. "This is proof your apt has been rented in May". BIG DIFFERENCE ON A FIVE DAY DEADLINE HE GAVE ME IN NOVEMBER. Another note Tom left at my door states "I know you're having a hard time. New tenants are paying $775. I have kept you at $725. If you can pay more during the year come tell me". I WAS IN AN ACTIVE LEASE THEN TOO. When I gave Tom a copy of HIS OWN note to me that HE DENIED he wadded it up and threw it at me. During my tenancy there was a gas explosion, Drug's, drug smell's, drug dealing including meth, constant filthy washing machines, used needles and condoms on property with children living at the complex, car break ins, stolen license plates. Street people urinating on property and sleeping under the stairs and upstairs laundry rooms. People not on leases threatening people who were on leases and it was allowed by Tom to continue. We all wete going to Tom about it infringing on paying tenant's. Yelling between Tom and tenants. Tom showed my apt to total strangers WITHOUT MY PERMISSION while I was away.I WASNT MOVING THEN EITHER. The new tenant told me she had been in my apt. with Tom being shown to her. Tom and maintenance went into tenant apts. When NO repair request was turned in, NO emergency, NO forewarning they needed to gain entry and NO notices left after leaving our units. Tom being an only employee worked against tenants. College students and the vulnerable were taken advantage of by Tom. I LEFT EARLY ON A CONSTRUCTIVE EVICTION BY TOM EZELL. Don't need a reference. Me and others have all we need in Tom's own writing as to why I left. Repair's were few IF AT ALL. There were and still are constant water issues. Tenant's spend their whole shower's adjusting water temperature and sinks. Cold or scalding hot. No dishwasher's. When tenants needed repair's tenant's were either blamed for the problem's by Tom or maintenance would say "I'll have to see if Tom can afford it" or Tom would tell tenant's "You're the only one complaining about that" when tenant's were complaining of the exact same thing on the other side of the building to avoid repair's. They are not luxury apts.
