Terrible service. I dropped my 2013 E350 off on Wednesday morning at 8:15 am and explained the problem with the car, and was told there were few people ahead of me, and they would call me but it would be $179 for the diagnosis. The entire day went by and I got 0 calls or information. My wife called the next morning and they said they hadn't gotten the diagnosis done yet but they would for sure call me and let me know something before the end of the day. So I waited all day for Lionel to call me. Once again got nothing. Friday morning I called the service manager who, surprise, wasn't in his office and I left a message asking what was going on with my car, and to please call me back. Finally at around 1:15-1:20pm I got a voicemail from Lionel who told me that the ran one test and didn't determine the problem that I already told them what it was. (I had already taken it to a mechanic who was able to look up the problem after running some diagnostics and it's a known issue for my model, although somehow a random mechanic could figure it out but the people trained to actually work onMercedes sepcifically, apparently couldn't.) Lionel then said "it sounds not so good and it may be something in the engine" duh that's why I told you what it was I was just looking for a quote to fix it. Then he said that they would need to run another test that would make my cost $500 + and they weren't sure it would tell the problem and it would take 3 hours to do it. So they have had my car since Wednesday morning at 8:15am and Friday afternoon call me to tell me it will cost significantly more money and still may not tell them what was wrong even though I already explained it. They did this knowing also that there was no way to do the test before they closed so the earliest at minimum I would get my car would be Saturday if they could squeeze it in, but since it's labor day weekend it would probably be Tuesday. So they wanted to keep my car for a week charge me over $500 and potentially not even tell me what is wrong and/or how much it would cost to fix it. I called back and shockingly Lionel wasn't available I had to leave a message so I did asking what exactly they were charging me for since I told them the problem. He called back after I already had to be at work (which they knew because when I dropped it off I told them I worked nights). I'm not sure what he said because I had already decided just to go get my car and do something different. So I showed up to the dealership and the shop was closed when I asked to pick up my car I was told sorry I would have to come back because no one else in the dealership could help me. Simply amazing, this is the service I get from a Mercedes dealership. I know my car is a 2013 but it's still a Mercedes. I've never had such terrible service and communication from anywhere especially a high end dealer. I don't know that anyone wil read all of this but if you make it this far, be prepared for a below standard level of anything honestly. I find it comical that they call themselves a Mercedes dealership with this kind of service. At this point I will be just buying a Mercedes from another dealership. I realize that I'm one customer and my treatment and complaints will not effect them in any way negatively but if someone out there reads this then at least you are prepared for a nightmare. Personally I would find a real dealership that actually cares about it's customers, but that's just my opinion.
